The announced options

S-GAME describes Wayfarer as the story-focused option, Hellwalker as a challenge with more advanced, adaptive enemy AI, and Sixty-Six Days as a demanding mode.

Choosing your starting difficulty

If story and exploration are your priority, start by looking at Wayfarer. If learning enemy behavior is the main attraction, Hellwalker is the option to examine. Look at Sixty-Six Days once you understand its rules and want that extra challenge.

When comparing games, ask what you enjoy: reading attack timing, experimenting with weapons or repeating an encounter until it clicks. Our guide to who should play Phantom Blade Zero compares those preferences.

Give yourself one thing to learn

In a new encounter, focus on one readable attack and the opening after it. Add a second weapon or a longer attack sequence once you can recognize that opening consistently.
